Influenza A Antigen One- Step Rapid Test  

Cat.No.IA-0002

For detection of Influenza Virus A Antigen in faeces/swab samples of Avian and Human species.

Test components

  • 24 x test strips (only open the pouch just before use)
  • 24 x cotton swabs
  • 24 x vials containing 600 μl buffer
  • 24 x  pipettes
  • 1 x  pack insert

Test procedure 

Take a new swab for each sample.

1) Take a small sample of faeces or a rectal swab using the included swab.

2) Vigorously wash the swab in the buffer vial (fig. 1)

3) Let clots of faeces sink to the bottom (fig. 2)

4) Add 4 drops of the sample solution with the pipette to the strip (fig 3).

5) Read the result after 5 - 25 minutes.



Interpretation of the result

Positive:    two bands are visible

                  (fig. A) Þ the sample contains Influenza antigen Þ

                  The patient is infected with Influenza  

Negative:   only one control band is visible.

  (fig. B) Þthe sample does not contain Influenza antigen Þ

 The patient is not infected with Influenza

Not Valid:  no bands are visible, repeat the test procedure (fig. C)



Storage

The tests need to be stored at room temperature in a sealed package.

Warning

Positive samples should be considered as infectious.
