Obesity - Inflammation-Atheriosclerosis-Lipolysis

Resistin EIA

Resistin a hormone influencing fat metabolism and inflammation processes. Resistin effects were mainly demonstrated in animal modells. In recent research human Resistin (FIZZ3) was shown to stimulate pre-adipocyte proliferation and lipolysis of mature adipocytes by influencing MAPK signaling. So also in humans a relevance of resistin for obesity is highly probable even there is no known influence on insulin-signaling.

Resistin EIA detects Resistin in human serum, plasma and other matrices. It is a well suited tool for investigation of Resistin influence on insulin resistance, atherosclerosis and inflammation.
