Chickens are excellent producers of antibody and the intensity of their immune response is comparable to mammals, but has the advantage of being faster. The amount of purified IgY produced in one month is 18 times higher than that of IgG produced in a rabbit. Indeed, the hens lay 4 to 7 eggs per week when it is difficult to bleed a rabbit every day. Antigen: 100-200µg of peptides, proteins, bacteria, viruses or other non toxic or inactivated organisms.

The custom antibody services provide a quick supply of duck egg IgY (delta Fc) antibodies for customers. We accept various antigens (native/recombiant proteins, peptide-carrier conjugates, and *plasmid DNA). *Please inquire for detailed information. Two ducks will be used to produce antibodies. Basic production scale: 100mg pre-immune antibody will be delivered in 50 days after receiving antigens. More antibodies are available on your request, please inquire. Antibody titer testing by ELISA is available. Affinity purification of antigens-specific antibodies can be further processed from basic production of IgY (delta Fc) antibody. Affinity purification of antigen-specific antibodies can be further processed from basic production of IgY (delta-Fc) antibody. Antigen reqirement: 2.0mg of antigen prer duck required for custom antibody production. 10mg of antigen required for preparation of affinity column, if affinity purified antibody is desired. Mass production for various items and large quantity are available, please inquire. Customers can use the standard protocol, or it is flexible to work on tailor production scale according to customers´ individual requirement, please inquire.
Rabbit is the animal most commonly used for polyclonal antibody production. It produces sufficient antiserum volume with high titers and affinity. 2mg (1mg/ml) of antigen for standard rabbit protocol. 80-100ml of serum per animal can be obtained.
Goats are maintained in standardized conditions for production of broad volumes of antiserum. 1mg of antigen at an optimal concentration of 1mg/mg are necessary.
