Haematopoietic stem cells and mesenchymal cells are the hope for the next generation of cellular therapies. MacoPharma has developed and sold products from this range over the last several years to include systems for the collection of stem cells: Umbilical cord-blood collection and miniaturization systems, packs for collection of bone marrow, packaging, washing and transfer systems of the cellular products.
Specifications
The Collection integrated systems are based on double venepuncture of the umbilical cord. Each collection bag is specifically filled with the ideal quantity of anticoagulant, ensuring the process is simple and highly secure.
The Collection offers excellent recovery of stem cells; needles are: - Sized for umbilical veins to allow optimal flow, - A specially designed bag for rinsing the collection line tubing garantees the best recovery of stem cells.
The product continually aims for maximal safety of use, providing fully equipped systems: - Secure needle caps, - Needle covers to avoid needlestick injuries, - Pack property overwrap, - Double sterile overwrap for each system. - Internale protective pack overwrap which keeps the pack clean in the delivery room.
Each Collection system is individually packaged, and double overwrapped. The maximum shelf life of each overwrap is guaranteed outside the box thanks to the unique sterilisation and pasteurisation of the complete system.

By producing the entire collection and processing system, this equiment ensures total traceability of each system:
